Hi, I'm Rich Hastings!

As you can see by my photographs, I seek beauty in both form and light. The interplay of shape and shadow, often  overlooked, is a source of great inspiration to me. I love to travel, to see new vistas and the people that inhabit them. Through photography, I strive to capture and reflect a  unique perspective, one that might be overshadowed by larger space and therefore missed by most people. I encourage you to look for details in my work-nuances of color and light that might not be immediately evident. But like any good treasure hunt, if you look, you may very well be rewarded. Coastal Maine rugged and beautiful

I think skeletal trees are one the most interesting things in nature, from the weathering to the insect holes they are a reminder of days gone by.
